Chambery is one of the closest airports to La Plagne, with a driving distance of roughly 110 to 120 kilometres, depending on which village you are staying in. From Chambery Airport your driver joins the A43 and A430 motorways towards Albertville, then follows the N90 up the Tarentaise valley towards Aime. From Aime the road climbs the mountain on the D220, winding up through the La Plagne villages all the way to the higher altitude resorts.

Skiing in La Plagne

La Plagne is one of France’s classic big ski domains, sitting between roughly 1250 metres and 3250 metres in the Tarentaise valley. It offers around 225 kilometres of local pistes, and as part of the Paradiski area it links with Les Arcs and Peisey Vallandry to create a combined 425 kilometres of runs, with around 70 percent of the terrain above 2000 metres.
